Edwardian Silver Vesta Case
Description:
A fine Edwardian solid silver vesta case, unusually square in design as opposed to the more common oblong shape. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1908 by Albert Jackson. Decorated in an Arabesque inspired design with engraved foliate swags. The hinge is fast and sharp, the lid tight. It also has a vacant shield shape cartouche to the front and a loop ready to attach to an Albert chain. This vesta case is in very good condition, showing very few signs of wear considering its age.
