Pair of Edwardian Whist Markers
Description:
A stunning pair of Edwardian whist markers. Made of ivorine (not ivory), both are beautifully detailed and all the lifting tabs work well.
Ivorine is an unusual type of plastic made from formaldehyde and casein protein. It was invented in 1899 and was made as a low-cost replacement for ivory, often used in piano keys.
In good condition for their age and hardly used. These rare whist markers will make a fine addition to any collection of fascinating objects.
