Description: A pair of decorative 19th century Turkish/Ottoman bath clogs (also known as nalins). Traditionally used in bathing ceremonies in the hamman/bathhouse or for daily personal cleansing. Even when visiting the Turkish bath house, high-class women were adorned with lavishly ornate attires. These clogs were designed for wealthy women to protect their feet from dirty bath water while also displaying their social ​status.

Each clog comprises of a high wooden platform and a raised upper strap. The entire upper section​s ar​e embossed with silver tone filigree decoration.
